"Sharing Secrets with Friends"

Sharing Secrets with Friends

Sharing secrets with friends spells our principle: "the more I trust you, the more I love you; the more I’ll tell you."

Willingness to share secrets with friends is a telling proof of love and friendship. Sharing secret is entrusting oneself to others.

I started entrusting myself to friends since I was in my high school days. I enjoy the fidelity of my friends in keeping my trust. I know they hold me in deep respect. I rejoice in the thought that I have found school friends whose loyalty is unquestioned. I feel very much secure in their company.

The memory of the day in the recent past when my trust has been betrayed still linger my thoughts vividly. I felt so bad knowing that the ones I trusted so much have turned back against me. They walked away into hostile circles with a wealth of the secrets I had meant only for friendly ear.

They fell into the human temptation to talk and repeat things they heard. My secrets made for them a juicy conversation and enjoyable topics for gossip.

I felt cheated and robbed. With that sad experience I vowed never again to trust friends with my secrets, but I like to experience love and the security of friendship.
